Highfield Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events (RQF)

The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment and support a role in the workplace.

It is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to enter the spectator safety sector. It is specifically suited to volunteers at spectator events supporting more experienced staff. Upon completion of the award, the learner meets the requirements at section 4.10 b of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, “Green Guide”.

The learner should undertake further training and assessment of competence to obtain the Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety if wishing to continue in employment in the sector. It covers how to prepare for events, assist with the movement of spectators, deal with crowd issues, manage and resolve conflicts, deal with incidents at spectator events and support the work of the team and organisation.
