Roles and Responsibilities of the Close Protection Operative: Understanding the core duties and ethical considerations of a Close Protection Operative (CPO), including the protection of clients, risk management, maintaining situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively to potential threats while ensuring the safety and privacy of those under their care.
Threat and Risk Assessment: Learning how to evaluate and analyse potential threats and risks in various environments, allowing operatives to anticipate and mitigate dangers before they materialise. This includes assessing physical, environmental, and situational risks and developing strategies to minimise exposure to these threats.
Surveillance and Counter-Surveillance: Gaining skills in both surveillance techniques and counter-surveillance methods to identify and monitor potential threats or suspicious activities. This training helps operatives detect and avoid hostile surveillance, ensuring the protection of clients from potential threats.
